M. B. College of Agriculture, Tonk, is the affiliated college of Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner. It was established in the year 2013 with the ultimate objective of providing quality agricultural training (vocational as well as professional) to undergraduate students across different districts of Rajasthan. The college is running under the aegis of Jan Seva Khadi Gramodhoyog Vikas Samiti, Tonk. The town is situated 95 km from Jaipur, near the right bank of the Banas river. It is located at 26.140 Latitudes and 75.730 Longitudes. It comes under the sub-tropical climatic conditions of Semi-arid eastern plains of IIIA Agro Climatic Zone of Rajasthan.
This campus is spread over a 19.0 hectare land area covering the administrative and instructional farm. The Modern research facilities, including crop cafeterias (Agronomy and Horticulture), live production units such as Organic production technology (Jeevamrut, Panchgavya and vermicompost), Mushroom Cultivation Technology, Seed production , Commercial Horticulture, Bee keeping, Agriculture Waste management (using campus and farm wastes, crop residues, and weed biomass ).The college is providing basic research and training to students by conducting on-farm field trials of various field crops, vegetables, and fruit crops. It focuses on the application of instructional farm training programs to local farmers, attracting rural youths towards agriculture for their livelihood security under the era of climate change. For the production of various field and horticulture crops to accomplish sustainable farming without compromising the future natural resources and present needs of food grains, the college's Instructional farm is located 0.5 km away from the college premises. It comprises a 16 ha cultivable land area for scientific and innovative climate-resilient techniques of crop production. The farm trains and demonstrates the results of modern scientific management practices by students themselves for research and training purposes for farming communities, as well as for commercial cultivating farmers of the region and across various districts of the state.
